Dr. Pritchard has over 20 years of practical experience in the aerospace industry which developed expertise in the areas of materials management, finance, operations and international business. He has leading research in the current WTO EU-US aircraft trade disputes. During his 20 year career in the aerospace industry, he has been involved with seven aircraft launches, managed international offsets programs, completed foreign financing transactions and has expertise in aerospace marketing and product introduction into the regions of Europe, Russia/CIS, China and Asia.
Dr. Pritchard research in the commercial aircraft industry focuses on the global supply network, and has been published in leading academic journals (extensively cited in The Economist, Financial Times, Newsweek, and Business Week . among other places). He also has articles in aviation trade journals such as Flight International and Aviation Week, and has spoken at numerous aerospace industry conferences in the United States and abroad. Dr. Pritchard recently gave testimony to the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission regarding the Chinese capabilities for producing commercial aircraft. In the past, he has worked with the Presidential Commission on the Future of the US Aerospace Industry and the Presidential Commission on Offsets in International Trade where his research was submitted for commission hearings. Dr. Pritchard also has supplied briefings to the Office of Aerospace, ITA, U.S. Department of Commerce, on Russian Commercial Aircraft Manufacturing and European Commercial Aircraft Production Processes.
Dr. Pritchard has a BS in Procurement and Contract Administration, SUNY Buffalo; MA International Trade, SUNY Buffalo; and a Ph.D. in International Business from SUNY Buffalo.
